Rainy Day in Monet's Garden
I wanted to honor my experience of visiting Monet's Garden in Giverny, France last May by creating watercolors of what inspired me. As anyone knows who has been able to visit there, Monet created beds of flowers that complemented each other. They were created with an artist's palette in mind. Closer to the house, and of course this was springtime, the tulips were in bloom along with forget-me-nots. Because it had rained that day and everybody was walking around with umbrellas, I wanted to convey a misty atmosphere. I soften the area around the tulip bed. Monet's house is pink with green railings and shutters. If you are interested in a print, please contact me either through my website: paulafiebich.com or leave me a message on my blog.
